חָסַד

châçad. a primitive root; (compare חָנַן); (compare בָרַךְ); properly, perhaps to bow (the neck only in courtesy to an equal), i.e. to be kind; also (by euphemistically, but rarely) to reprove; shew self merciful, put to shame.
